Mended Hearts is a support group that consists of cardiac patients, their spouses and caregivers interested in learning more about their hearts and leading productive and healthy lives.  Meets monthly 10 months of the year (no meetings during June or July) on the 4th Tuesday from 5:45 pm to 7:30 pm. Due to the holidays in November and December, the meetings are moved to the third Tuesday of the month. Meetings are held in the third floor lobby at Heart Hospital of Austin. After sharing a delicious heart-healthy meal provided by the hospital, there's a presentation by a doctor or other knowledgeable person on a topic related to our experiences - about surgery, medications, exercise, doctor's visits, etc. There's definitely time for lots of questions! We're always finished by 7:30 pm.  We emphasize sharing experiences at our meetings and learning about the latest advancements in cardiac care. As informed patients, we feel better, and our mended hearts will serve us and our families well.

If you would like to attend the next Mended Hearts meeting, please call (512) 407-7585 to RSVP with the name and number of those attending. Dinner is free for members and first-time guests pay only $5.

If you would like more information, please email MendedHearts@hearthospitalofaustin.com or call (512) 407-7585.
